David Council, General Manager at Ford of Port Richey and Port Richey Mitsubishi, devotes his life and revolves his practices around family and community. David started in the automobile industry at a very young age selling cars. It was his love of cars and passion to make customers smile that led him to quickly advance as Sales Manager. Later on as Executive Vice President of a publicly traded automotive group, David oversaw the operations of 29 dealerships ensuring their excellence in all aspects of business. More of a country boy having been born in Raleigh, North Carolina and growing up in Oveido, Florida, David was enthralled with the opportunity to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange in 2006. However, his zeal to start a tradition of altruistic principles within a small business community led him to Ford of Port Richey where he has 2008. Fair business practices and highest Customer Satisfaction scores have led this Ford store to be crowned as Blue Oval Certified; Ford's way of acknowledging excellence in customer service. Living in New Port Richey and been a Gerneral Manager since 2008.proud of his stores, David has built strong ties within the neighborhood by being actively involved in charitable events benefiting local high schools and organizations including: DriveOne4URSchool, Cotee River Seafood Festival and our annual Dog & Pony Show. David's mantra is "family first" and he applies this truism to the way he manages his staff, conducts his business and builds relationships. David is father to a 17 year old son Dalton who attends Tarpon Springs High School. His hobbies include: reading, golf, water sports, hunting and fishing.
